Hon. Inameti Oyo Ita

Hon. Inameti Oyo Ita was born on th 27th day of December, 1970 in Calabar South Local Government Area of Cross River State to the family of late Engr. Effiom Inameti Oyo Ita of Etinyin Oyo Ita Royal House, Calabar.

He is the first son of the family. He began his schooling at Ironbar Memorial Primary Scchool, Calabar South Local Government Area. On completion of his primary education, he proceeded to Duke Town Secondary School for his secondary education. He also attended Comprehensive Secondary School, Obom Itiat in Odukpani LGA. Hon. Inameti gained admission into the University of Calabar after his completion of post primary school education. He successfully completed his degree programme at the university and graduated with B.Sc. degree in Public Policy and Administration in 2004. He was also issued with NYSC certificate of exemption from National Youth Service on grounds of the programme offered.

In 1999, Hon. Inameti ventured into and participated fully in Nigerian politics as he contested and won councillorship position in Calabar South Local Government Council under the platform of the All Peoples Party (APP).

In 2014, Hon. Inameti Oyo Ita indicated interest to contest election into the Cross River State House of Assembly. He bought his nomination form under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party to contest for Calabar South Consituency One, but he was prevailed upon to step down by the party and was appointed Community Relations Officer to the Governor of Cross River State.

Hon. Inameti is a s successful businessman and Managing Director of Inacho's Place Hotel (a hospitality business) in Calabar South LGA. He is a grassroot politician with humane character, a philanthropist and humnitarian of no mean repute. He is happily married to Veronica Inameti Oyo Ita and the marriage is blessed with two lovely children.
